REVIEW: E.L.F. Mineral Primer

E.L.F. Mineral Primer

Price: $3.00 www.eyeslipsface.com
Packaging: It comes in a tube, and it has a wand. Not as complicated as UDPP. If you dont get all of the product? Just get another one. I bet you're getting more product usage from this $3 one compared to the UDPP.
Consistency: Wateyr, feels slippery and greasy when first applied. Let it sit and it works as well as high end primers (ie, UD or TFSI)
Color: It has a peachy pink tone to it, but once applied. Its seems to disaapear (which really doesnt matter)

I tried it on with drugstore and department store shadows. It lasted for more than 8 hours. I was very impressed. It didn't crease at all!!  This primer really helps my drugstore shadow show up and look even better!  For something as cheap as this and works as well as high end ones. I'm leaning toward buying this more than a $17 primer. Wouldn't you?

Here's a Swatch that I did with MAC Eyeshadow in Black Tied. Black tied is not matte compared to CARBON. It has some shimmer on it, but not a lot.

Side by side with Too Faced Shadow insurance, and I don't see any difference. If you have the money too splurge on UDPP or TFSI, go ahead. This is just my opinion and a little bargain find that is really worth a try.

OTG: cure for chapped lips

Lip balms are supposed to leave an occlusive layer on the lip to lock in moisture as well as protect it from drying and sun damage. Growing up in country where theres only 2 seasons, sunny and rainy. I didn't really get chapped lips. Since moving here to the U.S. somehow i trained myself never to leave the house without it.

1.) Chapstick in cherry

Winter: especially when we get the negatives here, I do not recommend this. It leaves a white-ish layer on the lips that gives you that dry lips look. Putting chapstick over the lips does not help, and it only makes it worse. It gives a waxxy feeling on my lips. Its like wax in a tube. I dont want that feeling during winter, but summer is a different story.

During the summer season i use chapstick a lot. Its not as waxxy on my lips and even the cherry flavored one had a tiny hint of mint (hey I rhymed lol) The not so overpowering mint is really helpful during the summer cause it cools the lips down.

Another product I love to use during the summer is...

2.) Softlips in Cherry and Tinted Raspberry

Softlips glides on like butter on my lips. I used the cherry one, and it has a hint of mint. I liked it a lot compared to chapstick. But it disappears quicker than any other lip balm. It just fades away to i dont know where.

The tinted one however does a different job. Hence the word tinted, it acts more like a lighter lipstick. Ive used the tinted softlips in raspberry. That one smelled the best. I just wanted to eat my lips. However, the tinted one is a big NO when your lips are dry, it does not moisturize it. The tinted raspberry softlips made my lips look like I have a pale pink icing on it. I do use the tinted one a lot, when I know that my lips are not dry. The tinted one goes really well on a light everyday make-up when you dont want to wear any lipstick or lip gloss.

3.)Carmex in Cherry

This is new found LOVE. I have been using carmex for about 4 days now. It has not failed me yet. So far, I have no complains. I dont want to jinx myself, but this is trully a great lipbalm out there. Carmex does not leave a white-ish residue or an icing look on my lips. Its like vaseline in a mini toothpaste tube =p When its time for a lipbalm retouch, my lips are still moisturized from the first coat that I did half an hour ago. Carmex is just so good that I keep putting it on. Carmex by far is the best lipbalm out there. Its been around for ages. So why not trust it right?

COSTS
-Softlips is the priciest among the three products that i mentioned. One tube cost about $2.50 and a 2-1 pack is about $3.00. Capstick and Carmex are comparable in prices as well. Each tube can range from $.98 to $1.19 each. The SPF also varies from 5-35. The higher it is, the better protection you have against the sun. It also depends where you buy them. I suggest to get them at your local Walmart, although drugstores will have a lot of sales and lip balms are always included.

I hope this review was pretty helpful. More product reviews to come.

Television Today: No Originality

When i was checking my msn mail the other day, I couldn't help but notice their little thread about last year's new breakthrough series. Toping that list was the show called "The Mentalist". The mentalist is about a man named Patrick Jane(Simon Baker), an independent consultant with the California Beureu(CBI), who has a remarkable track record for solving serious crimes by using his razor sharp skills of observation. He also makes frequent use of his mentalist abilities to lead witnesses or offenders into offering the actual facts of the case, as known only to them.
It had about 15 million viewrs when it premiered. Thats damn good for a Pilot!
Anyways, people are raving so much about this unique series. Im sick and tired of people talking about how amazing and original this show..Original NOT!Back in 2006 a show in the cable channel USA Network, a show called PSYCH premiered, it had a huge rating but not as big as The Mentalist though, but it he show was the highest-rated U.S. Basic Cable
television premiere of2006
. In Psych, the main Charater named Shawn Spencer (played by James Roday) a young crime consultant for the Santa Barbara, California Police Department (SBPD) whose "heightened observational skills"and impressive detective instincts allow him to convince people that he is psychic.
see the resemblance now? They both work as freelance detectives for a California Police Department. Also that special ability of observation. Third time isnt a charm. Here comes another one, the show called "Lie To Me". Main character Dr. Cal Lightman (played by Tim Roth) detects deception by observingbody language, and uses this talent to assist law enforcement with the help of his group of researchers and psychologists. Based on some book I heard.

So to sum up everything, I really think that writters are running out of ideas about shows. Also people should stick to the originals lol
PSYCH is the show to watch, try it... maybe a little laugh and a lot of 80's reference will cheer you up!
