What's a PMILK?

When you're in Middle School, High School, or even college. You will need a PMILK somehow.
I am a pretty busy mom, and sometimes carrying a big purse is too much. So ladies, here's my solution.
The word PMILK has been around for quite sometime now, but usually very discreet.
 What is PMILK?
P- Phone
M-Money
I- ID
L- Lipgloss/Lipstick
K-Keys( house keys/car keys/work keys)

Never ever leave the house without it, even if you are just going for a quick run, a night out, or running errands.

Always remember to have your PMILK with you

Grillin and The Passing

So I got this Weber grill from my boss over the summer. Whenever Im at walmart, Jewel or Dominick's, I'd always forget to get charcoal. So we never had a chance to bbq anything. Even labor day weekend, nope, no bbq for us.

Last week, Thursday, I finally found a small bag of charcoall for only 6 bucks, not too bad... bought it. (I know I should get the big one, we already used  it all up this weekend) Lesson learned.

Anyways, Friday night, Had my first ever Grilled burger. Ok to clear things up, I've had grilled burgers from all over town. I never had an authentic American one.
Here is what I considered authentic.
  • ground beef patties
  • Just salt and pepper!
  • Lettuce
  • Onion
  • Tomatoes
  • Cheese (optional)
  • Lastly grilled from my own gril LOL
Thats it, growing up my mom would always buy ground beef and season it herself, and trust me, when you've tried one of my mom's cooking, you'll totally agree with me that her burgers are gonna be great even with the extra ingredients. Anyways, so Friday night we had burgers.

Here it is:

So yes, they were delicious! mouth watering lol

Saturday morning, we woke up, and the first thing we thought of was to grill some steak. Sadly there wasnt any pictures taken, obviously we just had to eat them right away.

The steak was not to thick, Marinated with Teriyaki Sauce, Soy Sauce, Lemon Juice, Salt and Pepper (just eye balled it) and rubbed it with garlic. Later that night, we grilled the rest of the steak and had steak burgers.

As I am typing this, my dearest BF is grillin up some pork ribs, with his little assistant keeping him company out in the balcony. I say they make a good pair. The little one is just out there saying hi to every squirrel, bird and rabbit she see.

Here's the pork ribs.

The passing of the blue box
Also this was a sad weekend for us. Our dear Blue box (our car) was donated to Kars 4 Kids, when the Tow truck came, It had probably a 2008 acura tsx, and I asked the guy can i have it if its just being junked. He said the owner had it in its garage for weeks, and I asked him why, He said it was Flooded. I asked him how, he said It got flooded from that last storm we had. It will cost more to repair that kind of damage than the fix our car needed.

The Blue Box meant so much to me even though it wasnt mine to begin with. Im too attached to it, because its the car that Etna grew up with, even though shes just two years old, she can spot that car anywhere in the parking lot. Its also the car that we took Etna with for her doctor appointments in the city. It never broke down even though we know its nearing its end. Yesterday it finally came, and just like that it was gone. I know its just a thing, but it became a part of our family too. As a goodbye, we gave it a salute.

As to celebrate something new, we are piggin out lol
There's no point of keeping the blue box, it was time to move on.

Life, youtube, car, and effin jersey shore

As for my current situation, I cannot begin how to explain, how messed up it is. My car which was very dependable decided to just not work anymore. Took it to the mechanic, they said the cost of the repair will be more than the car's worth. So there goes that. Also, Ive been home since Monday afternoon, which is not my fault to begin with. I lost 4 days worth of workday which sucks. It means lesser paycheck, and there goes that one too.

So far, the only thing that is keeping me happy is my family, my little one discovered singing lately, and that really warms up my heart. I have also been active on my youtube channel, which is a really really great hobby.I get to help a lot of people. I say really really a lot lol Also I am putting a lot of my free time helping my family's charity http://nicollescreations.blogspot.com that benefits a lot of poor kids in my hometown of Zamboanga, Philippines.

Sometimes I think, no matter how much we pray, sometimes we need to understand that life really does work in a very mysterious way. Life will bring you to your lowest, and all of the sudden, Something awesome happens. That awesomeness needs to come like now! I am really really tired of waiting(see? I did it again) Why can't I be lucky enough to be at the Oprah show when she gives away a car or maybe at the Ellen Show, where she gives a lucky someone 10k?

I think I need it too, who doesnt? Its not like I'm a bum, and I have no where to go. Maybe I dont. =) My life as it is could be the best reality show, all the drama, and funny things that can and would go wrong. I think the ratings will be off the chart. How come the kids from The Jersey Shore get so much attention, when the only thing they do is be drunk, be stupid, and do those things over and over again. They get how much per episode?! I dont even wanna say it.... I like watching the show, I admit that, its hilarious. But see what I mean, My life is hilarious as it is, so can I get my own show on TLC?  I promise, Im no Kate Gosselin OK!

With all that said, If you are wondering what I have been doing on youtube, I just started my own makeup channel. Ive been getting a lot of makeup related questions. So I decided to put it up for my friends with makeup troubles, and makeup virgins hahaha. Its nothing too fancy ok. A lot of my viewers cant afford high end products, so here I am, just trying to help.

So thats it my friends, Thats all I have for you today. So many more things I can talk about, but I'll just end this here,I will leave you all hanging.

Wherever you are in the world, I leave this..

good morning, good evening, and good night

Review: Rimmel Stay Matte Pressed Powder

So this is going to be my review on the Rimmel Stay Matte Press Powder. So far, I am really loving this product a lot. It gives me more coverage than the Maybelline Dream Matte Powder ( Which a lot of people in YT claims it to be a dupe for MAC's MSFN) which I have not tried. Rimmel claims...

"No chance to shine with Stay Matte Powder. Goes on smooth to even out skintone. Offers a natural, matte finish. You won't go out without it!"

I don't have oily skin , but I use this powder to set my foundation. It stays on for about 2-3 hours which is ok. It does make my pores look a little smaller which I love.

Packaging: 1/5
-Its really really, I mean really cheap! There's a plastic top that comes off easily. I don't carry this with me in my makeup bag, because there's no mirror or powder puff(even though we usually dont use it). I use my Kabuki brush.

Price: 5/5 Its very cheap ranges from $3-5 depending where you buy it.

Repuchase: 3/5 I think this is not the best drugstore Pressed powder out there, there's probably more. For the price and value, I think its worth a try.

Since I've started using this, I never went back to my maybelline dream matte powder again.

$5 Wet N' Wild Color Icon Palette in Lust

Products used:

Face:
Revlon Colorstay Foundation in Natural Tan (combination/oily)
Maybelline Bronzer in Bronze
Elf Contouring Blush and bronzer powder

Eyes:
Wet N' Wild Palette in Lust
Revlon Colorstay eyeliner in Charcoal
Maybelline Gel Liner in Blackest Black
Maybelline Define-a-lash Mascara (volume)

Lips:
L'oreal Jelly Balm in Succulent

Mini Review:
I am in love with this palette! Its so cheap and very pigmented. This is by far the most pigmented eye shadows that Ive tried next to L'oreal Hip eyeshadows. This Palette is very versatile, you can have simple subtle looks, to very sultry smokey eyes. The colors are amazing. There's a wide variety of palettes. Also it is very blendable. It has 3 matte, and 3 shimmer colors. And as I said very pigmented. Use a primer for best results.

The theme is kinda like "the 7 deadly sins, for example, another palette in with greens was called Greed. lol you get my point. Limited fallout (but that doesnt mean theres none) Just make sure you pack it on nicely on the lids. So far, I have no complain with this palette, Although the white highlight was literally white,a lil too light for my skin tone, but I made it work.

Check out this palette, Im not sure if it is limited edition or not, but most drugstores carry it. I was just probably unlucky with the places near me, cause I didnt find it til I went to Kmart. I will get some more of these palettes.

Anyways.... Have Fun with the Palette and TTYL!

New Video: What's in my purse?

I know I haven't been blogging lately, I was just too busy with school and life. Anyways, I finally filmed a video on youtube. It is a "What's in my purse?" video

Nothing special, just something to start my channel. I was watching lollipop26 on youtube. Her advice was, If ever you want to start making videos, its good to start with a  "whats in my purse?" video, because theres constantly something you have to talk about. You dont have to think about it. Which is very true. So there you go, my first ever video. I hope you guys like it

REVIEW: E.L.F. Mineral Primer

E.L.F. Mineral Primer

Price: $3.00 www.eyeslipsface.com
Packaging: It comes in a tube, and it has a wand. Not as complicated as UDPP. If you dont get all of the product? Just get another one. I bet you're getting more product usage from this $3 one compared to the UDPP.
Consistency: Wateyr, feels slippery and greasy when first applied. Let it sit and it works as well as high end primers (ie, UD or TFSI)
Color: It has a peachy pink tone to it, but once applied. Its seems to disaapear (which really doesnt matter)

I tried it on with drugstore and department store shadows. It lasted for more than 8 hours. I was very impressed. It didn't crease at all!!  This primer really helps my drugstore shadow show up and look even better!  For something as cheap as this and works as well as high end ones. I'm leaning toward buying this more than a $17 primer. Wouldn't you?

Here's a Swatch that I did with MAC Eyeshadow in Black Tied. Black tied is not matte compared to CARBON. It has some shimmer on it, but not a lot.

Side by side with Too Faced Shadow insurance, and I don't see any difference. If you have the money too splurge on UDPP or TFSI, go ahead. This is just my opinion and a little bargain find that is really worth a try.

OTG: cure for chapped lips

Lip balms are supposed to leave an occlusive layer on the lip to lock in moisture as well as protect it from drying and sun damage. Growing up in country where theres only 2 seasons, sunny and rainy. I didn't really get chapped lips. Since moving here to the U.S. somehow i trained myself never to leave the house without it.

1.) Chapstick in cherry

Winter: especially when we get the negatives here, I do not recommend this. It leaves a white-ish layer on the lips that gives you that dry lips look. Putting chapstick over the lips does not help, and it only makes it worse. It gives a waxxy feeling on my lips. Its like wax in a tube. I dont want that feeling during winter, but summer is a different story.

During the summer season i use chapstick a lot. Its not as waxxy on my lips and even the cherry flavored one had a tiny hint of mint (hey I rhymed lol) The not so overpowering mint is really helpful during the summer cause it cools the lips down.

Another product I love to use during the summer is...

2.) Softlips in Cherry and Tinted Raspberry

Softlips glides on like butter on my lips. I used the cherry one, and it has a hint of mint. I liked it a lot compared to chapstick. But it disappears quicker than any other lip balm. It just fades away to i dont know where.

The tinted one however does a different job. Hence the word tinted, it acts more like a lighter lipstick. Ive used the tinted softlips in raspberry. That one smelled the best. I just wanted to eat my lips. However, the tinted one is a big NO when your lips are dry, it does not moisturize it. The tinted raspberry softlips made my lips look like I have a pale pink icing on it. I do use the tinted one a lot, when I know that my lips are not dry. The tinted one goes really well on a light everyday make-up when you dont want to wear any lipstick or lip gloss.

3.)Carmex in Cherry

This is new found LOVE. I have been using carmex for about 4 days now. It has not failed me yet. So far, I have no complains. I dont want to jinx myself, but this is trully a great lipbalm out there. Carmex does not leave a white-ish residue or an icing look on my lips. Its like vaseline in a mini toothpaste tube =p When its time for a lipbalm retouch, my lips are still moisturized from the first coat that I did half an hour ago. Carmex is just so good that I keep putting it on. Carmex by far is the best lipbalm out there. Its been around for ages. So why not trust it right?

COSTS
-Softlips is the priciest among the three products that i mentioned. One tube cost about $2.50 and a 2-1 pack is about $3.00. Capstick and Carmex are comparable in prices as well. Each tube can range from $.98 to $1.19 each. The SPF also varies from 5-35. The higher it is, the better protection you have against the sun. It also depends where you buy them. I suggest to get them at your local Walmart, although drugstores will have a lot of sales and lip balms are always included.

I hope this review was pretty helpful. More product reviews to come.
